Abbott unveils new Libre app
Abbott recently launched the new Libre app, making it easier than ever for users to track glucose readings and insights.
New features include:
- Universal sensor compatibility: One app for both FreeStyle Libre 2 and FreeStyle Libre 3 systems (sensors include: FreeStyle Libre 2, FreeStyle Libre 2 Plus, FreeStyle Libre 3 and FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus)
- Automatic data streaming: FreeStyle Libre 2 users will now see their glucose data automatically displayed in the app, eliminating the need to scan their sensor (note, this was already a feature for FreeStyle 3 users)
- Silent mode: New to FreeStyle Libre 3 systems, users can temporarily silence their glucose alarms for up to 6 hours
- Gradual alarms: Optional alarms to discreetly alert users to high or low glucose levels
- Easy navigation: Simplified view of data patterns, so users can better understand the impact of food, activity and insulin on glucose levels
