Alembic launches generic Tricor

Alembic is introducing fenofibrate tablets in dosage strengths of 48 mg and 145 mg.

The product is the generic of AbbVie’s Tricor tablets. 

Fenofibrate is a peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha agonist indicated as an adjunct to diet:  to reduce elevated LDL-C, Total-C, TG and Apo B, and to increase HDL-C in adult patients with primary hypercholesterolemia or mixed dyslipidemia; for treatment of adult patients with severe hypertriglyceridemia.

Alembic's fenofibrate tablets are available in 90 count and 500 count bottles.
