Alembic releases generic Effexor

Alembic is introducing Venlafaxine Hydrochloride Extended-Release Capsules, 37.5 mg, 75 mg and 150 mg, which is the generic of Upjohn’s Effexor ER Capsules.

Venlafaxine Hydrochloride Extended-Release Capsules are a serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor indicated for the treatment of adults with major depressive disorder.  

The medication is also indicated for the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder and panic disorder; increased risk of suicidal thoughts and behavior in pediatric patients and young adults taking antidepressants.

Alembic's Venlafaxine Hydrochloride ER Capsules are available in strengths of 37.5 mg, 75 mg and 150 mg in 30-count and 90-count bottles.
