All Rite Aid locations now offering COVID-19 vaccinations

All 2,500 of Rite Aid’s stores in 17 states are offering vaccines on an appointment basis to anyone 16 years old and older, as well as on a limited walk-in basis in every store.

Rite Aid now is administering COVID-19 vaccinations chain-wide. The company on Friday announced that all 2,500 of its stores in 17 states are offering vaccines on an appointment basis to anyone 16 years old and older, as well as on a limited walk-in basis in every store.

Rite Aid noted that while it still recommends appointments to reduce wait time and guarantee vaccine availability, the walk-in accommodation supports customers who may not have access to the internet while meeting the need for flexibility for customers. The company is offering Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.

"The availability of vaccines in every Rite Aid location is a major milestone in our ongoing effort to fight COVID-19. We've been on the front lines since the beginning of the pandemic, working across our store footprint to bring testing and vaccines directly to local communities," said Jim Peters, COO of Rite Aid. "Vaccine availability is improving every day, and our pharmacists are ready to administer vaccines safely and efficiently, providing the benefits of pharmacist-administered vaccines in a safe and sterile environment right in your neighborhood. Also, in addition to the grassroots efforts we've undertaken with our community partners, the availability of these walk-in appointments provides another way for those with limited or no technology access to more easily obtain COVID vaccines. We encourage everyone to make an appointment or walk-in, today."

Rite Aid encouraged appointments for anyone 18 years old and older to be scheduled via its online scheduling tool. The company noted that patients who are 16 and 17 years old can schedule an appointment with guardian consent at any store administering the Pfizer vaccine by contacting the store’s pharmacy directly.
