Aurobindo gets FDA OK for generic Zanaflex

Patients with spasms, cramping, and tightness of muscles caused by multiple sclerosis or certain injuries to the spine will have a new generic treatment option.

The Food and Drug Administration has given its blessing to Aurobindo for tizanidine hydrochloride capsules.

The product is the generic of Covis Pharma's Zanaflex.

Aurobindo’s generic will be available in dosage strengths of 2 mg, 4 mg, and 6 mg.
