Bartell’s is continuing to spread joy in the local community it serves during the holiday season with its annual Toy N' Joy toy drive. Bartell’s has hosted Toy N’ Joy for 17 years in partnerhip with The Salvation Army and local radio station WARM 106.9. This program is designed to collect new, unwrapped toys for local children during the holidays.

“We are so grateful to Bartell Drugs and its customers for their commitment to helping local families during the holiday season” said Lt. Colonel Bill Dickinson, divisional commander of The Salvation Army in the Northwest. “Together we are making the holidays a little bit brighter for our neighbors in need.”

Just before Christmas, Salvation Army volunteers gather to sort the toys collected during the donation drive. On Dec. 17, families supported by Salvation Army are invited to CenturyLink Field Event Center to “shop” for the holidays at no cost to them.

With the support of the community, Bartell’s has been successful in helping make the season brighter for those families with a huge success in 2018 collecting over $135,000 in donations of toys.

From Nov. 15 through Dec. 9, customers can visit all Bartell’s locations, purchase a gift of their choice and deposit that toy into the red donation bins at the front of the store. Cash donations also are welcome at the register.
