Former Helen of Troy exec joins Bio Ionic as COO

LOS ANGELES — Former Helen of Troy executive Tom Gebhart has joined Bio Ionic as COO.



Most recently, Gebhart served as SVP and GM of Belson, a subsidiary of Helen of Troy.  Before joining Helen of Troy, Gebhart worked at Sally Beauty in their Beauty Systems Group and served as the VP of merchandising. Prior to that, he spent seven years with BeautyFirst, a chain group of beauty supply and beauty salons with more than 100 doors.

 

“I have always been impressed with Bio Ionic and have been intrigued by their advanced Ionic Mineral technology,” stated Gebhart. “As the new COO of the company, I plan to take the brand to the next level. This company has tremendous potential and I am excited to be part of the growth.”

 

Gebhart will drive the strategy and development of all marketing initiatives, including new product development, sales promotion and more, while building the marketing capabilities of the organization itself.

 

Currently, Bio Ionic offers a portfolio of hair tools and technology products at select retailers nationwide.
