Gillette Venus research: 96% of women experience discomfort while shaving
BOSTON — New research commissioned by Procter and Gamble’s Gillette Venus brand is finding that a comfortable shave can make women feel more confident. The survey found that women ranked shaving higher than a new outfit or a good night’s sleep as a key factor in feeling more comfortable and confident, and that women feel better going out, giving a client presentation and even getting a massage when they have a smooth shave.
“In speaking with women around the globe over the years, we’ve found most experience a trade-off with their current razor that prevents them from getting a comfortable shave and the smooth results they desire to feel comfortable in their own skin,” said Gillette Venus Products Researcher, Patrice James. “In addition to the designed-for-her-curves features found in all Venus razors, ComfortGlide razors were created to bring a more comfortable experience — and beautiful, smooth results, instantly.”
Gillette Venus’ ComfortGlide razors feature moisture bars to flex around the body’s contours and condition the skin with body during the shave. Wetting the razor activates built-in moisture bars that release a light lather with each stroke, making a smoother shave.
The ComfortGlide collection includes three- and five-blade razors and is sold in Olay and Olay Sugarberry, as well as a freesia, white tea and vanilla crème variety. The razor with two blade refills carries a suggested retail price of $8.99-$14.99.
