1/14/2011

PARIS — L'Oréal Paris has tapped fashion icon and rock star Gwen Stefani to be the brand's new international face.

By joining the L'Oréal Paris family, Stefani will represent her own vision for beauty alongside such other representatives as Jennifer Lopez, Milla Jovovich, Diane Keaton, Beyoncé Knowles, Diane Kruger, Evangeline Lilly, Andie MacDowell, Julianna Margulies, Eva Longoria, Freida Pinto and Kerry Washington.

"Gwen's unique personal style and vivacious spirit, together with her career accomplishments in both fashion and music, makes her an inspiration for women everywhere, and an exciting addition to the L'Oréal family," stated Karen Fondu, president of L'Oréal Paris USA.

Stefani, a composer, songwriter and singer, has been a member of the band No Doubt since they met in high school and began playing music in their garage. No Doubt has sold more than 30 million copies of its albums and the band has received many Grammy nominations and won two in 2003.

In 2004, Stefani released her Grammy-nominated side project Love. Angel. Music. Baby. In 2006, she released her second dance record, The Sweet Escape, and won the 2008 People's Choice Award for favorite female singer of the year.

After wrapping up a sold out summer tour in 2009, No Doubt has begun recording their new album for release in 2011.

In the fashion world, Stefani has received acclaim for her two fashion brands: L.A.M.B. and Harajuku Lovers.
