L’Oreal raises funds for children’s hospital with annual event

MOUNTAINSIDE, N.J. — L’Oreal on Tuesday held its annual Fore the Children charity event, where the company raised funds for the Children’s Specialized Hospital of New Jersey. This year’s event, held at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club in Bedminster, N.J. and Fox Hollow Golf Course in Branchburg, N.J. raised $700,000 and had more than 850 participants.


“The work being done by Children's Specialized Hospital is incredibly meaningful,” said Morris Lenczicki, vice chairman of the Children's Specialized Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees and L’Oreal’s VP operations Americas. “L'Oreal USA is proud to support the Foundation and the children and families who rely on their contributions every day.”


This year’s event included a reception featuring the hospital’s CEO Amy Mansue and Dylan Klink and her family, whose story of recovery is the subject of the hpspital’s recent success story video. The money raised at this year’s event wll toward the hospital’s implementation of Vocer, a secure communication platform that allows a patient and their family and caregivers to communicate in real-time.


“It has been an extreme honor to call L'Oreal USA one of our premiere corporate partners,” Philip Salerno, III, the hospital foundation’s president and chief development officer said. “The children treated at Children's Specialized Hospital have not only benefited from L'Oreal's tremendous success in fundraising, but also the countless hours of volunteer service at our locations and hospital fundraising events.”


Since 2008, the L’Oreal Fore the Children events have raise nearly $4 million for the hospital, its infrastructure and patients.
