L’Oréal USA is celebrating WorldPride 2019 in New York City, which marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, with its “March for Me” campaign.
The movement looks to invite people from all over the world to virtually join the company’s 860 employees who are marching in support of the LGBTQIA+ community, the company said.
"We celebrate individuality and champion self-expression at L'Oréal which anchors our global mission of Beauty for All," Xavier Vey, the president of L'Oréal Luxe USA and the executive sponsor of OUT@L'Oréal, L'Oréal USA's LGBTQ+ Think Tank said. "It has been truly energizing to see how our employees, led by the OUT@L'Oréal employee think tank and its allies, have worked together to create a platform and campaign that embraces inclusivity at a global scale. I am humbled that the efforts of a small group of passionate people have led to a worldwide movement at our company.
In addition, L’Oréal USA, an official sponsor of WorldPride 2019, created the March for Me” campaign to allow those who could not be there in person find a way to be represented.
To join the campaign, the beauty brand is inviting people to submit a photo or video of themselves on Instagram Stories and using one of its custom stickers, which can be found searching for “MarchForMe” in the sticker icon. Those participating are also encouraged to use the #MarchForMe hashtag and tag @LorealUSA in their post.
Those who don’t have access to Instagram can submit a photo or video to
[email protected], and the brand will apply custom stickers on behalf of the sender.
The third and final option for submissions is visiting the company’s photo booth at WorldPride 2019, which will be located at the front entrance of the Shops at Hudson Yards at 31st Street and 10th Avenue in New York City from 10 AM to 2 PM.
Further information on the campaign can be found on the company’s website.
