RALEIGH, N.C. — Merz America has introduced two new products from its Mederma brand. The company this week launched Mederma Quick Dry Oil and Mederma Spezial.
Mederma Quick Dry Oil is formulated to help diminish the appearance of scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone and dry skin, the company said. It’s made without mineral oil, parabens, fragrances, or dyes, and it contains the proprietary botanical extract Cepalin, which Mederma said can help improve overall appearance, texture and color of stretch marks. It also contains almond, rose hip, sunflower and coconut oils, as well as chamomile and ginger extracts, which are said to help reduce redness and blotchiness.
“The Mederma brand is advancing with a focus on delivering effective, multi-purpose products to the marketplace,” Merz Aesthetics VP and U.S. head of marketing and OTC Jim Hartman said. “Mederma Quick Dry Oil is specifically formulated to not only nourish and hydrate, but also improve skin imperfections to reveal healthy skin.”
Mederma Spezial is a line of cream mousses and dietary supplements aimed at promoting healthy skin, hair and nails. The line includes three supplements — Skin Capsules, Healthy Nails and Hair Capsules — as well as two cream mousses, Cream Mousse Hyaluron and Cream Mousse Collagen. The product range has been available and sold in Europe since 1964, the company said.
“As an aesthetics company, we understand that beauty starts from the inside out. With Mederma Spezial, consumers now have the opportunity to impact the health not only of their skin, but of their hair and nails,” Hartman said.
Mederma Quick Dry Oil is available at Amazon.com and in Walmart, Walgreens and Rite Aid stores. It has a suggested retail price of $13.49 for a 100-ml bottle, $19.99 for a 150-mL bottle and $27.99 for a 200-ml bottle.
The Mederma Spezial range is available on Amazon.com, with prices ranging from $12.95 to $20.99.
