Ors hair care updates olive oil collection

After unveiling its product redesign and improvements with the Edge Control line, Ors hair care is now revamping the formulations in its olive oil collection.

The Chicago-based company harnesses the power of olive oil, which is rich in vitamins A and E, antioxidants, and omega-3 fatty acids, to give tresses moisture and shine.

“From the beginning, Ors has been committed to creating products that feature the best of nature to maximize hair health and style,” Nicole Ray Robinson, category marketing head at Namaste Laboratories, said. “While Olive Oil remains our star ingredient, our updated products now include a range of power-packed oils for enhanced product performance and a richer consumer experience.”

The line’s new formulations include omega-6 and nine-rich castor oil, coconut oil, and Brazilian Pequi Oil, which smooth, protect and seal in moisture, the company said. The brand’s refreshed line will include:

• The Moisture Restore Creamy Aloe Shampoo, which cleanses, removes product buildup and adds moisture to hair. The 12.5-fl.-oz. bottles retails for $6.81 while the 1.7 fl.-oz. packs are priced a $1.59;


• The Strengthen and Nourish Replenishing Conditioner, which provides moisture, leaves hair soft and tangle-free. A 12.5 fl.-oz bottle retails for $7.34, while 1.75 fl.-oz. packs are valued at $1.59;


• The Incredibly Rich Oil Moisturizing Hair Lotion, which restores moisture to dry strands while protecting against heat damage, breakage and split ends and is valued at $5.66 for an 8.5 fl.-oz. size;


• The Fortifying Crème Hair Dress, which comes in a 6-oz. size and retails for $9.19, nourishes dry hair and scalp while helping improve scalp health and hair growth;


• The Edge Control Hair Gel, which provides all-day extra hold for all types, and retails for $5.49 for a 2.25-oz. size;


• The Nourishing Sheen Spray, which provides long-lasting shine, provides moisture balance and comes in an 11.7-oz. size that retails for $4.99;


• The Hold and Shine Wrap/Set Mousse, which tames frizz, defines curls, adds shine and moisture, retails for $6.29 and comes in a 7 fl.-oz size;


• The Style and Curl Defining Smooth-N-Hold Pudding, which comes in a 13-oz. size and retails for $6.29, delivers a smooth, long-lasting hold and curl control;


• The Silken and Shine Heat Protection Serum, which helps protect hair from thermal damage, comes in a 6 fl.-oz. size that retails for $7.97; and


• The Frizz Control and Shine Glossing Hair Polisher, which retails for $7.97 and comes in a 6 fl.-oz. size smooths hair and adds shine.
