Rihanna launches new perfume ‘RiRi’

NEW YORK — Music superstar Rihanna is expanding her line of perfumes. The singer announced the launch of her newest scent, RiRi by Rihanna, on Friday.

RiRi by Rihanna is “a flirty floral” that combines “feminine, mischievous, and playfully sensual notes,” according to a press release.

"Each fragrance we create brings something new and different,” Rihanna said. “This is a flirty, more feminine scent. I love that we can use interesting combinations that reflect a new overall feel.”

The scene features passion fruit extract, rum absolute, cassis and Italian mandarin top notes, in addition to heart notes of Japanese honeysuckle, orange blossom, jasmine and pink freesia. The base notes contain Madagascar vanilla, warm skin musk and Indonesian sandalwood.

RiRi by Rihanna will be available online at Macy's.com on Friday and at Macys, Stage and Perfumania.com in September.

The Eau de Parfum Rollerball has a suggested retail price of $20, while the 1 fl. oz, 1.7 fl. oz and 3.4 fl. oz sprays have suggested retail prices of $36, $50 and $60, respectively.
