Ben & Jerry’s cookie dough chunks get in the holiday spirit

8/11/2020

The holiday spirit is arriving a tad bit earlier this year if Ben & Jerry’s has anything to say about it.

The Burlington, Vt.-based company is releasing two new festive offerings — gingerbread cookie dough chunks and cinnamon bun dough chunks.

“There's no better way to ignore the heat and start planning for season's greetings,” Jody Eley, Ben & Jerry's innovation manager, said. “The gingerbread cookie dough chunks are like building a holiday house in your mouth — the sweetness and spices are just like you remember as a kid. The cinnamon bun dough chunks will get you in the mood for special weekend brunches, and they're vegan!”

Each of the snackable and poppable bites is a limited-edition launch from the brand that contains safe-to-eat dough made with pasteurized eggs and heat-treated flour, the company said.

“We know our fans often dig around the ice cream to get to the chunks,” Eley said. “We just made it a little easier by putting them in a bag.”

The cookie dough chunks can be found at participating Scoop Shops across the nation for the suggested retail price of $3.99 to $5.49 a bag.
