Biden, Obama join Walgreens, ATTN: vaccination special airing on NBC

Two big names have joined the upcoming television special “Roll Up Your Sleeves.” President Joe Biden and former President Barack Obama have joined the vaccination special, presented by Walgreens and created by ATTN: in partnership with Civic Nation’s Made to Save initiative, set to air on NBC on April 18 at 7 p.m. ET. 

Biden’s appearance in the hourlong special hosted by Russell Wilson and Ciara will feature him speaking directly to the public, urging them to get the COVID-19 vaccine when available. Obama will appear alongside Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal to remind audiences that getting vaccinated against COVID-19 is a crucial step to returning to activities they enjoy. As previously announced, former First Lady Michelle Obama also will be aprt of the special, appearing alongside Faith Hill, Jennifer Lopez and Lin-Manuel Miranda. 

The special will feature both celebrities and medical experts, including comedy from Billy Crystal, Wanda Sykes, as well as a pulmonologist and NBC News medical analyst Dr. Vin Gupta appearing alongside TV doctors Eric Dane, Ryan Eggold, Dr. Ken Jeong, Ellen Pompeo and Jane Seymour. Also set to appear are Sterling K. Brown, Lana Condor, Jennifer Hudson, Dale Jarrett, Joe Jonas, Eva Longoria, Demi Lovato, Joel McHale, Kumail Nanjiani and Amanda Seyfried. Walgreens Boots Alliance CEO Rosalind Brewer also will appear.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and chief medical adviser to president will appear to dispel myths about the vaccines and urge Americant to get the vaccine, in an interview with Matthew McConaughey.
