BJ’s Wholesale Club opening Louisville location

BJ's Wholesale Club plans to open its first club in Louisville, Ky., near the Jefferson Mall, in early 2025. This latest opening follows its expansion into Tennessee and Alabama in 2023.

“We are excited to offer our winning combination of value, convenience and assortment to families in Louisville,” said Bill Werner, executive vice president of strategy and development at BJ’s Wholesale Club. “Our expansion into Kentucky allows us to deliver unbeatable value and savings of up to 25% off grocery store prices every day.”

The new Louisville club will include a BJ’s gas station, and offer such shopping options as in-club shopping, curbside pickup, in-club pickup, same-day delivery and standard delivery from BJs.com.

In addition, members have access to ExpressPay through its mobile app, a service that allows shoppers to scan products as they go and avoid the checkout line.

The company noted that it is the only warehouse club that accepts manufacturers’ coupons. In addition, the new club location is expected to create approximately 150 jobs for its respective community.
