Cardinal Health is unveiling Advanced Therapy Connect, which the company describes as a best-in-market unified ordering portal for cell and gene therapies, through its Advanced Therapy Solutions business. Ordering cell and gene therapies has historically required healthcare providers to log into separate product platforms with disparate reporting structures and processes for invoicing and payment, Cardinal Health said.
“A major challenge associated with cell and gene therapy ordering has been that each product has its own portal with unique log-in information, which creates a burdensome and complex process for healthcare providers,” said Fran Gregory, vice president, emerging therapies. “We’re excited to bring this solution to market and truly simplify the ordering process for our customers so they can focus on patient care.”
Advanced Therapy Connect enables providers at treatment sites to order all available in-network cell and gene products within a single platform, reducing the administrative burden for healthcare providers. Developed with the help of provider feedback, Advanced Therapy Connect reduces manual errors and optimizes access to cell and gene therapies, Cardinal Health said.
