American Greetings’ Guitar Party cards amp up the fun
American Greetings wants to put a spin on the traditional birthday card, by introducing its new Guitar Party line.
To mark the 10th anniversary of its Pipeline of Innovation, the Cleveland-based company unveiled a line of guitar-shaped cards that are embellished with illustrative designs and have a button that can be pushed or guitar strings that also can be strummed, which reveal an entertaining song.
Featured designs in the collection include a pink leopard print, skull motif and fame-laden electric guitar. Also included is a red, white and blue design created for the “birthday Rockstar,” the company said.
“Everyone’s a star on their birthday, and Guitar Party cards send up a rousing rendition of how awesome the birthday boy or birthday girl is,” Carol Miller, vice president of corporate innovation at American Greetings, said. “These cards are a fun way to dial up the fanfare of a birthday greeting.”
American Greetings’ Guitar Party cards can be found at Carlton Cards retail stores, participating drug chains, grocery stores and mass retailers nationwide. The company also is asking consumers to share pictures, videos and messages on social media of their cards by using the #BestCardEever hashtag.
