Arctic Zero hits Walmart’s freezer aisle
Those searching aisles near and far for Arctic Zero ice cream, can now head to the nearest Walmart for a pint.
The San Diego-based company, which looks to create a low-calorie ice cream alternative, announced that its line of products can now be found in the retailer’s freezer aisle nationwide.
Created with milk and cream, and naturally sweetened with cane sugar, each pint contains 280 to 360 calories.
In addition, the ice cream is non-GMO verified, Kosher and rBST dairy free, and made without the use of sugar alcohols, corn syrup or other questionable sweeteners, the company said.
"Walmart was one of the first major retailers to welcome us when we were a start-up company, so we're excited to continue our partnership," Greg Holtman, the founder of Arctic Zero said.
Featuring such flavors as cookies and cream; chocolate chunk; peanut butter and chocolate cookies; mint and chocolate cookies; vanilla bean; cookie and brownie dough; and toffee crunch; each pint contains 70 to 90 calories per serving, the company added.
"My kids are the first to try my new flavors and concepts. For me, research on clean ingredients and listening to our customers is priority. I will always push the limits on what's possible to create in the 'better for you' category," Holtman added.
