Argo Tea to unveil Teappuccino drinks
CHICAGO — Argo Tea on Wednesday announced that it will release its new Teappuccino tea-based dairy beverages this fall.
The bottled loose-leaf tea infusions feature milk and real fruits, flowers, spices and herbs. The Teappuccino will be available in Chai, which features fresh-brewed assam black tea blended with ginger, cinnamon and vanilla; Earl Grey Vanilla Crème, which has black tea infused with bergamot and vanilla; and Green Tea Strawberry Crème, featuring antioxidant-rich Japanese green tea and strawberries with a hint of vanilla, the company said.
“Argo Tea is committed to delivering innovative new products like Teappuccino that meet consumer demand for great tasting healthy beverages,” Arsen Avakian, founder and CEO of Argo Tea, said. “With a growing presence in retail stores and in new Argo Tea cafés, we’ve quickly become a one-stop shop — offering tea connoisseurs ready to drink options, loose leaf and sachets — that’s poised for continued success, both domestically and abroad.”
In 2010, Argo Tea launched a line of ready-to-drink Signature Teas, which are now sold in more than 20,000 retail outlets, including Whole Foods, 7-Eleven, Walgreens and Kroger. The line includes 10 flavors in both sweetened and unsweetened varieties. Two of these flavors — Green Tea Ginger Twist and Mojitea — won first place in the best ready-to-drink iced teas category at the 2014 North American Tea Championship.
The new flavors will be available in 12 fl. oz. bottles for a suggested retail price of $2.99.
