Bare Snacks adds veggie chips to its portfolio

6/7/2018
In the midst of being acquired by PepsiCo, Bare Snacks announced the launch of a new line of crunchy veggie chips.

The brand's new beet, carrot and sweet potato chips are made with real vegetables that are baked, and made without the use of oil, preservatives and artificial flavors, the company said.

“Our new beet, carrot and sweet potato chips are a fresh take on veggie chips that everyone can root for,” Santosh Padki, CEO at Bare Snacks, said. “Unlike other veggie snacks that are often fried or made with starchy powders and oil, our new veggie chips are a truly clean option made with real vegetables and nothing extra. We’ve discovered a new way to make veggies snackable and are excited for everyone to try our crunchy and delicious chips.”

Available in six varieties, the chips are sliced, lightly seasoned and baked using a process that delivers crunch and flavor. The San Fransisco-based company’s new launches include:

  • Bare beet chips, which come in sea salt and salt and vinegar options;

  • Bare carrot chips, which are available in sea salt and ranch flavors; and

  • Bare sweet potato chips, which feature sea salt and barbecue varieties.

The baked veggie chips carry a suggested retail price of $4.49 per bag and can be found at such retailers as Kroger, Giant Food, Stop & Shop, HEB, Wegmans, Amazon and select Target stores in July.
