Brach’s is expanding its portfolio of sweet treats.
The Chicago-based company, which is part of the Ferrara Candy family, is introducing consumers to its new milk chocolate double dipped hazelnuts.
Created by taking sweet, whole roasted hazelnuts, the brand dips them twice in milk chocolate to create a snack that has an added crunch, the company said.
"We're excited to finally share Brach's milk chocolate double dipped hazelnuts with all Brach's lovers," Peter Goldman, the senior director of Brach's and seasonal confections at Ferrara Candy, said. "In order to deliver the best, we had to start with our recipe and ensure key ingredients were being elevated and improved — starting with the chocolate. Double dipped hazelnuts is the first new item to feature this recipe change and we can't wait for our fans to try it."
In addition, the brand is also rolling out reformulated, sustainable chocolate recipes across its entire portfolio. Now, the company will be using sustainably sourced via the Cocoa Horizons Foundation, which is a non-profit that looks to improve the livelihoods of cocoa farmers and their communities, the company said.
Brach’s milk chocolate double dipped hazelnuts will hit shelves at select retailers nationwide throughout May, and come in a 4.25-oz. stand up bag that retails for $2.99.
