Caulipower, a brand known for its pizza offerings, announced that it would be flying into a whole new game.
The Los Angeles-based company unveiled its frozen chicken tender offerings, which come in original and spicy(ish) flavors.
Hitting retail shelves in the fall, the tenders are baked instead of fried and contains cauliflower, as well as other gluten-free ingredients, the company said.
"We are bringing another long-overdue game changer to the frozen aisle," Gail Becker, Caulipower founder and chief executive officer said. "The evidence that people want healthier coated and baked chicken tenders is already all-over social media. So, we listened and our newest Caulipower meal hack was born."
Each 14-oz. bag of Caulipower chicken tenders contains 480 calories, has zero saturated fat, no added sugar, and is made from Naked Truth premium chicken that’s all-natural, raised without antibiotics and cage-free, and rated Global Animal Partnership Step 2, the company said.
"Like our pizzas, Caulipower's better-for-you chicken tenders are for everyone. They taste so good, but you won't have to feel guilty about sneaking these off your kids' plates," Becker said.
Caulipower chicken tenders, which are to retail from $8.99 to $9.99, will come in a resealable pack and will hit more than 4,200 selected national and regional retailers in September.
