Coca-Cola shifts chief marketing executive to new role
ATLANTA Coca-Cola is shaking up management in its North American division, according to reports.
A report in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution said Coca-Cola North America chief marketing officer Katie Bayne will become president and general manager of the sparkling beverages category, which includes Coca-Cola's carbonated drinks portfolio. Bayne's role will be assumed by 14-year Coca-Cola veteran and SVP integrated marketing Beatriz Perez.
The moves are said to breathe new life into Coca-Cola's North America business, which has staggered amid health concerns of carbonated beverage consumption.
