NIEUWKUIJK, The Netherlands — Stroopwafel maker Daelmans has announced a new addition to its offerings. The company said it plans to roll out its chocolate-caramel stroopwafel this spring.
The chocolate-caramel variety will join three other stroopwafel flavors from Daelmans — caramel, honey and maple — and will begin its distribution on March 1 through Cost Plus World Markets, with wider distribution planned for spring and summer.
The launch of the new stroopwafel flavor comes a little less than a year after Daelmans launched the product in the United States through its exclusive distribution partner The Brand Passport. During that time the company’s stroopwafels have hit such retailers as Trader Joe’s, Target, 7-Eleven, Costco, Sam’s Club, Walgreens, and Meijer. United Airlines offers the treat as complimentary morning snacks for its economy-cabin customers.
