Del Monte Foods is bringing the popular bubble tea trend to the grocery aisle via its fruit cups.
Shoppers can now reach for the brands new Bubble Fruit, which takes the popular popping boba trend on the go.
Delivering bursts of flavor and a full serving of 100% real fruit, Bubble Fruit comes in three flavors — peach strawberry lemonade, sour apple watermelon and pear berry pomegranate — and is made without any artificial colors or sweeteners, the Walnut Creek, Calif.-based company said.
"We have made it our priority to drive our innovation to meet the needs of today's consumers who are looking for new exciting food experiences, flavors and textures," Liam Farrell, the vice president of brand marketing for Del Monte Foods said. "By leveraging on-trend inspiration like the boba phenomenon, Bubble Fruit is a clever reinvention of a classic product that kids will want to eat and parents will feel good about serving."
Del Monte Foods’ Bubble Fruit will begin hitting shelves in September at such retailers as Walmart, Target, Kroger, Ahold and Supervalu.
