FitJoy, a brand known for its grain-free snacks, announced that its Cookie Dough Brownie protein bar will be expanding its retail footprint.
The bar from the Austin, Texas-based company can now be found at Jewel-Osco shelves.
In addition, the entire line of bars from the brand will hit 79 of the retailer’s locations across Illinois, Indiana and Iowa, the company said.
"With more and more people experimenting with 'free-from' diets, consumers are increasingly interested in gluten-free and grain-free alternatives made from healthy ingredients," Manish Patel, the chief executive officer of FitJoy said. "We are thrilled that Jewel Osco is supporting this trend by making all four flavors of our newly formulated bars conveniently available to store shoppers."
Containing a blend of chocolate, cookie dough and chocolate morsels, the bar retails for $2.99 and is made with a protein blend, contains 210 calories, 8 g net carbs, 15 g fiber and 20 g of protein.
As other products from the brand, the Cookie Dough Brownie protein bar is gluten free, and does not contains GMOs, maltitol, artificial flavors and artificial sweeteners, the company said.
