Hallmark is kicking off the 45th anniversary of its Keepsake Ornaments collection in major style.
The Kansas City, Kan.-based company is releasing more than 200 ornaments during its Keepsake Ornament Premiere event, which runs through July 22.
“Keepsake Ornament fans eagerly await the annual premiere of our new collection,” said Nicole Reid, retail product director at Hallmark. “We’re excited to show off this fantastic line of Keepsake Ornaments featuring top licensed properties and traditional favorites that help people remember those special times throughout the year.”
After launching in 1973 with a collection of six ball ornaments and 12 yarn figures, the line has now expanded to include more than 400 ornaments that feature such characters from Donkey Kong, My Little Pony and Mario Kart, sports figures from the NFL and NHL, and characters from popular television and film series.
In addition, the company's classic Frosty Friends ornament, which features Frosty and his penguin pal hanging stockings on their snow-covered fireplace made of ice, also is celebrating its 39th anniversary. Meanwhile, the Nostalgic Houses and Shops ornament is celebrating its 35th anniversary, and for 2018 will feature the “Festive Firs Christmas Tree Farm,” the company said.
At Ornament Premiere events, consumers will find three brand-new Keepsake Ornament series, special offers, bonus points for Crown Rewards members, and 10 limited-quantity ornaments sold exclusively at Hallmark Gold Crown stores.
