Hawaiian Host introduces onion and garlic macadamias

Honolulu The buzzword is “change” for nut confectioner Hawaiian Host.

The company is set to launch a new macadamia nut flavor, Maui Onion and Garlic Macadamias, and will offer three island favorites in convenient, reclosable stand-up bags for easy storing, packing, and indulging.

“It’s great to offer our hand-selected nuts and candies in an even more convenient package,” said Keith Sakamoto, president of Hawaiian Host. “It’s perfect for parties and picnics, or as snacks for the home or the office. If you can’t finish a whole bag, you can zip it closed and save the rest for your next snack attack.”

The brand new Maui Onion and Garlic Macadamias are flavored with the taste of sweet onions from the Valley Isle and an added zing of garlic salt. Hawaiian Host does not add monosodium glutamate to any of its products.

The 11 oz. bags will also be available in its three anchor flavors– Dry Roasted Salted, Hawaiian Honey Glazed and Premium Milk Chocolate Macadamias.

Hawaiian Host’s products are now available at participating Longs Drug Stores, Don Quijote, select ABC Stores and other Hawaii retailers. Suggested retail price is $7.99 to $8.99.
