Hi-Chew taps into caramel apple for a limited time
Whether you say “car-mel” or “care-ah-mel” the latest Hi-Chew launch is for lovers of the sweet treat.
For a limited time, Hi-Chew fans can get their hands on the brand's new caramel apple flavor.
The Irvine, Calif.-based company, which is part of the Morinaga America brand portfolio, will be launching the product just in time for fall.
Featuring a tart green apple center, the product also contains a burst of apple flavor that’s complemented by a chewy caramel exterior, the company said.
“We want to keep candy lovers on their toes with flavors that combine real fruit juices and iconic American tastes with the deliciously chewy texture that Hi-Chew fans love,” Norio Otsuki, chief operating officer of Morinaga America, said. “In experimenting with different palates and flavor combinations for the fall, our team of experts was inspired to create caramel apple, a flavor that truly encompasses the spirit of the season.”
The seasonal offering will be available in bonus-size sticks with 12 individually wrapped pieces, as opposed to the traditional 10.
Hi-Chew’s caramel apple sticks can be found online or in-store at select Walgreens locations for the suggested retail price of $1.39.
