Horizon launches multi-serve organic protein milk
Horizon Organic is looking to elevate the milk consumers drink with new organic protein milk.
The Broomfield, Colo.-based brand has unveiled its new multi-serve organic protein milk line — Horizon Organic High Protein, which contains 12 g of organic protein per 8-oz. serving, the company said.
"We realized that protein is a top priority for people when it comes to milk — yet no organic protein milk option was available," Christina Finkel, senior director of marketing at Horizon Organic, said. "Protein helps to fuel your day and supports healthy muscles, and our newest organic protein milk is meant to help meet that need for dairy drinkers."
Available in three flavors — reduced fat chocolate, reduced fat plain and vitamin D — the launch is made from organic milk protein concentrate, which is made from high quality complete proteins naturally found in milk, the company said.
In addition, the milk also contains vitamin D, calcium, riboflavin, vitamin B12 and phosphorus.
"Less than 6% of all milk is USDA Certified Organic," Finkel said. "We're proud to be the first when it comes to a higher protein organic milk option. In addition to a higher level of protein, it tastes delicious, just like the rest of our organic milk portfolio. And we hope Horizon fans — old and new — enjoy our new protein milk, too."
Horizon’s Organic High Protein milk is available at retailers nationwide in a 64-oz. carton that retails for $5.99.
