Jelly Belly Candy Cupcakes make their debut
There’s a brand new and innovative way to enjoy several well-known and classic cupcake flavors, thanks to Jelly Belly Candy.
The candy company, best known for its jelly bean products among others, is introducing fans of its products to its newest confection — Candy Cupcakes, which it also announced at the Sweets and Snacks Expo.
Available in five different flavor options — strawberry, blueberry, chocolate, French vanilla and banana — the miniature cupcake replicas have a flavor base and frosting flavor on top. In addition, each piece is adorned with a bakery-perfect swirl, the Fairfield, Calif.-based company said.
Similar to its previously launched candy cones and candy corn offerings, the new cupcake offerings contain a smooth texture that is not coarse, but creamy instead.
The company's portfolio of numerous mellocreme candies, which was founded in 1898, dates back to the turn of the 20th century and include such featured ingredients as fondant and marshmallow frappe, the brand added.
