After requests from fans of the Pop-Tarts products to bring back a discontinued flavor, the brand has decided to give into demand and bring the Frosted Strawberry Milkshake flavor back to store shelves. For a limited time, consumers will be able to purchase the toaster pastries beginning in December.
"It's been five years since Pop-Tarts has offered this limited-edition variety. Ever since, Frosted Strawberry Milkshake has been our most highly-requested flavor among fans on social media, so we're excited to treat them again," Angela Gusse, director of marketing for Pop-Tarts, said.
The Frosted Strawberry Milkshake flavor contains a creamy, strawberry-flavored filling that can be enjoyed toasted, un-toasted or straight from the freezer, the company said. The Battle Creek Mich.-based brand also announced that the product will be available at retailers nationwide.
Pop-Tarts are part of Kellogg's, whose brands include Keebler, Special K, Pringles, Kellogg's Frosted Flakes, Kellogg's Corn Flakes, Rice Krispies, Cheez-It, Eggo, Mini-Wheats and more.
