There’s a new way of packing more food into baking dishes thanks to Pyrex.
The Rosemont, Ill.-based company, which is part of the Corelle Brands portfolio, is introducing its new Pyrex Deep collection, which allows home cooks to add extra layers to such food items as lasagna and dip to a large roast chicken and vegetables together.
"Our latest innovation was designed for the needs of home bakers and cooks who want to explore new recipes with more flavors for more people," Ken Wilkes, CEO of Corelle Brands, said. "Pyrex Deep bakeware is all about bringing more people together. So instead of just inviting the neighbors, why not invite the whole neighborhood?"
Christina Tosi, founder and owner of Milk Bar and a frequent collaborator of the brand, revealed that the baking dishes were inspired by bringing together two of her favorite recipes for a bigger and better creation, the company said.
"I want to show the world all of those layers of flavor and texture," Tosi said. "That's why I love Pyrex Deep bakeware — you can have more fun experimenting in the kitchen and really make your creations stand out!"
Pyrex Deep bakeware is available in three sizes — 9 inch by 13 inch that retails for $18; 8 inch by 8 inch that retails for $14; and 7 inch by 11 inch that retails for $16 — that come with a fitted lid. All three sizes can currently be found on Amazon and on the shelves at Walmart and other mass retailers.
