Ragú has the quick fix for an easy dinner for parents who are always on the run.
The Mount Prospect, Ill.-based company unveiled its new line of Simply pasta sauces, which are made with wholesome ingredients, 100% olive oil and no added sugar.
To create the new additions to its portfolio, the brand conducted a Simply Real Moms Survey, which revealed how mothers — especially young millennial mothers — feel about the everyday dinner experience. Fifty-two percent of those polled admitted to feeling more stress during the back-to-school season, and three-out-of-four mothers are worried about the ingredients in their child’s diets.
“The Ragú Simply Real Moms Survey reinforced what we know about moms — that they feel pressure and stress when it comes to making a weeknight dinner that their family will eat, but also one that doesn't feel like a compromise in terms of nutrition,” David Beck, senior brand manager for Mizkan America, the maker of Ragú pasta sauces, said. “The average mom cares deeply about the ingredients in the foods her family eats. So, we're proud to introduce new Ragú Simply pasta sauces, a pantry staple that moms can feel good about while also making weeknight meal creation both easy and really delicious.”
Available in four varieties — flavored with meat, chunky marinara, traditional and chunky garden vegetable — each of the sauces if created with California vine-ripened tomatoes, olive oil, carrots, onion and other ingredients, the company said.
In addition, Ragú’s Simply pasta sauce line does not contain added sugar, artificial colors, artificial flavors or high-fructose corn syrup.
All four varieties are now available for purchase in the pasta aisle at select grocery and mass retailers nationwide for the suggested retail price of $2.19.
