Ready Pac Foods’ limited-edition barbecue salad makes its return
Ready Pac Foods is bringing several summertime barbecue flavors to salad form.
The Irwindale, Calif.-based company announced that it would be bringing back its Limited-Edition Bistro Corn Salad with Pulled Pork and BBQ Drizzle.
Each salad contains fire-roasted corn, poblano peppers, seasoned pulled pork, romaine and iceberg lettuces, chili lime dressing, cheese cornbread croutons and a barbecue sauce drizzle, the company said.
“The Limited Edition Bistro Roasted Corn Salad with Pulled Pork and BBQ Drizzle was born out of a desire to offer consumers the opportunity to indulge in delicious summer BBQ flavors without having to break out the grill or sacrifice healthy eating,” Ready Pac Foods vice president of portfolio marketing Priscila Stanton, said. “While we pride ourselves on bringing new recipes to consumers, the popularity of the summer salad was undeniable. After seeing how positively consumers reacted to this salad last summer, we had to bring it back for a second year.”
Ready Pac Foods’ Limited-Edition Bistro Corn Salad with Pulled Pork and BBQ Drizzle salad will be available until mid-September in the produce aisle at such retailers as Walmart, Amazon Fresh, Albertsons, Safeway, Wegmans, Publix, Raley’s and Starter Brothers, among others for the suggested retail price of $3.99.
