Reports: Hershey, Ferrero eye to split Cadbury
LONDON As rumors swirl around a possible bid by Hershey and Ferrero for London-based confectioner Cadbury, sources also are reporting that the wooers, upon acquisition, might break up the company.
Italian chocolate maker Ferrero and U.S.-based Hershey said on Wednesday they were reviewing a possible offer for Cadbury, shortly after a bid by Kraft for the company was rejected.
According to Reuters, a source close to Ferrero on Friday said the company "was still evaluating all options concerning Cadbury."
On Friday, Cadbury stocks increased 0.6%.
