Fans of Starburst have something new to reach for when walking down the candy aisle.
The Hackettstown, N.J.-based company, which is part of the Mars portfolio, unveiled the new Starburst Duos.
Featuring two flavors blended together in a single fruit chew, one pack contains a strawberry and watermelon combination and another combines blue raspberry and lemonade.
"We know consumers' taste preferences are constantly evolving, and new flavor trends are shaping the industry," Desi Okeke, the senior brand manager of Starburst said. "We are always listening to our fans, and they love it when two flavors come together in confections."
Available at major retailers nationwide in 2.07-oz. single packs that retail for .99 cents and 14-oz. laydown bags for $3.19, the new brand's new launch comes on the heels of the previously launched
all pink packs and its corresponding merchandise.
"We are excited to introduce this fun variety and give our fans a new way to enjoy Starburst," Okeke said.
The new product launch will be supported with a campaign this summer featuring digital, PR and in-store support, the company said.
