Sun-Maid raisins get sour, sweet treatment
Creating a snack that’s not so sweet is what shoppers can look for when reaching for Sun-Maid raisins.
Expanding its reach in the fruit snacks category, the brand has launched its new Sour Raisin Snacks, which are naturally sweet and sour, and made of non-GMO whole fruit, the company said.
In addition to also being gluten-free and containing no added sugar or artificial ingredients, Sour Raisin Snacks come in four flavors — strawberry, watermelon, mixed berry and grape.
"Our team has been working on repositioning products and broadening our product portfolio to meet the growing need for less processed, no added sugar snacking options," Harry Overly, the CEO and president of Sun-Maid said. "Sour Raisin Snacks will compete with other fruit snacks and gummies in the category and give parents a healthier option that their kids will love and they will feel good about feeding them whether in school lunches or as a daytime bite."
Shoppers can now find the Sun-Maid Sour Raisin Snacks in the fruit snack or dried fruit aisles at retailers nationwide. To find the nearest location carrying the snack, the company recommends visiting its website.
