SweeTarts candy goes bite-sized

5/8/2019
SweeTarts is at it again.

The Chicago-based brand, part of the Ferrara Candy portfolio, announced that it has created two new bite-sized candies inspired by two of its lines — Soft & Chewy Ropes and Mini Chewy Berries & Cherries.

"After receiving an overwhelmingly positive response to our SweeTarts Soft & Chewy Ropes and SweeTarts Mini Chewy lines, we decided to extend these fan favorites with new formats and flavors," Ashley Incarnato, senior brand manager at Ferrara Candy, said. "As consumers move to a more on-the-go mentality with candy and snacks, we expect that SweeTarts Ropes Bites and SweeTarts Mini Chewy Berries & Cherries will be a hit in the market as consumers seek new poppable, shareable candy for the spring and summer seasons."

The Ropes Bites allow consumers to enjoy the Soft & Chewy Ropes in bite-sized pieces that contain a mix of fruity flavors and a tart fruit-punch center. Featured flavors include cherry, strawberry, green apple, orange and blue punch.

The Mini Chewy Berries & Cherries offering is an extension of the Mini Chewy line that provides a twist of chewy, coated candy and tangy flavors together. Available in a variety of berry flavors — raspberry, blackberry, blue berry punch, dark cherry, and mixed berry — the candy also is available in a mix of colors, the company said.

Consumers can find the SweeTarts Rope Bites in a 3-oz. size that retails for $1.49, 3.5-oz. share pack that retails for $1.49, a 5.25-oz. bag that retails for $1.99, and an 8-oz. stand-up bag that retails for $2.99.

SweeTarts Berries & Cherries come in a 4-oz. share pack that retails for $1.49, a 3.75-oz. concession bag that retails for $1.49, and 12-oz. stand-up bag that retails for $2.99.
