CityMD, an urgent care provider in New Jersey and the New York metropolitan area, will open its newest location at 506 Westport Ave in Norwalk, Conn., on Sept. 30. The new urgent care is the first CityMD in Connecticut and will offer the full spectrum of urgent healthcare services, including pediatric care and occupational health care to residents and surrounding communities 365 days a year.
“We are thrilled to open our first CityMD location in Connecticut and expand our services into the city of Norwalk, its surrounding communities and beyond,” said Dmitry Volfson, DO, chief medical officer at CityMD Urgent Care. “We look forward to providing this new area of the Northeast with the same convenient and high-quality urgent care that we have been offering residents in New York and New Jersey for nearly 15 years.”
CityMD plans to add to its footprint in the years to come. A second Connecticut location will open in the town of Fairfield in 2025.

Board-certified physicians are available at every CityMD location to treat common ailments such as colds and flu, allergies, urinary and gynecological issues and provide injury care for cuts, breaks, sprains and workplace accidents. Rapid testing for COVID-19, strep throat and STIs are offered as well as onsite EKG, X-ray and blood draw for lab work. Additional offerings include immunizations such as the flu shot and travel vaccines, evaluations for school, camp and sports physical forms and driver’s license vision testing.
“At CityMD, we know that illness and injury do not wait for a convenient time. Instead of waiting for hours in the ER or for a regular doctor’s appointment, we offer a go-to neighborhood urgent care destination that is there to make life easier for our patients and their families when the unexpected happens,” said Katharine Miao, emergency medicine physician at CityMD Norwalk Urgent Care. “Our board-certified physicians are ready to see patients, treat what’s bothering them and get everyone back to their day as quickly as possible.”
CityMD is available 365 days a year and most insurances are accepted. Patients can walk in or book a visit for a specific appointment time, whichever is more convenient. With the Summit + CityMD app, patients can connect with a doctor for virtual care 24/7 from anywhere.
