CVS Health to sponsor Washington Spirit women's soccer league team
CVS Health is a team player. CVS Health has been named presenting and official health and wellness sponsor for the National Women’s Soccer League team Washington Spirit.
CVS Health also will be the presenting sponsor for all team youth community initiatives, which encompass discussions of healthy lifestyle as well as nutrition, mental resiliency, skills challenges and other activities.
The CVS Health brand will be featured on the front of the team jersey, around the club and during designated Spirit home games during the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup. In addition, CVS Pharmacy ExtraCare card holders will be eligible for discounts in the team store.
Spirit owner Steve Baldwin said, “We are delighted about our new relationship with CVS Health as our presenting sponsor, official health insurance sponsor and official pharmcay sponsor. In addition to having the honor of wearing the CVS Health brand on the front of our jerseys, we are particularly proud of the work we will do with CVS Health in healthy lifestyle and nutrition, women's health, and with underprivileged kids in our community. I want to thank the entire team at CVS Health for joining with us.”
CVS Health is one of many businesses to join the Washington Spirit family in the 2019-2020 offseason. This growing group of sponsors, in collaboration with the Spirit, will help continue to grow the game of women’s soccer in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
“We are looking forward to our new sponsorship with the Washington Spirit, and have long been impressed with how the team inspires communities and neighborhoods across the region in a way that is distinctive in the world of sports. Our sponsorship is a powerful way to connect our brands and capabilities locally, with the customers we serve, the communities we support, and the colleagues we employ. The Washington Spirit and CVS Health are ideal teammates," said Norman de Greve, CVS Health senior vice president and chief marketing officer.
