Together, these two men—one a famous entrepreneur and TV star and the other a leading advocate for diversity in the corporate world and driving sales and profits—promise to captivate their audience as they share the stage for the keynote conversation at the 21st annual Drug Store News Industry Issues Summit. The event will be held on Dec. 4 at the Marriot Marquis in New York, with the keynote starting at 10 a.m.
John is the widely admired star and investor on television show "Shark Tank." He also is a presidential ambassador for global entrepreneurship and the founder of FUBU, the groundbreaking lifestyle brand that has eclipsed more than $6 billion in global retail sales. He has become recognized for his commitment to promoting and supporting entrepreneurs.
Jones, the vice president, global communications and advocacy for Procter & Gamble, has spent much of his 20-year plus career at the Cincinnati-based company directing a broad portfolio of advocacy focused on driving equality for women, people of color and other under-represented groups. He also leads a team responsible for global communications, digital and social media, stakeholder engagement, issues advocacy and crisis management at P&G.
“We are honored to have Daymond and Damon sit down at Industry Issues and discuss, in an intimate setting, how diversity and inclusion can bring about social change and still drive profits,” said John Kenlon, publisher of DSN. “We think that the 400-plus attendees of this year’s event will learn quite a bit by listening to these two men discuss the state of the retail and CPG industries and what can be done to move the needle forward. We think this is going to be the best summit ever.”
