Fortune magazine has issued its annual "
World's Most Admired Companies" list.
According to the magazine, companies included on the list are among the most highly respected indicators of corporate performance and reputation. To rank them, they were rated on various attributes, including the ability to attract and retain talented people, quality of products and services, quality of management, innovation, social responsibility, and investment value.
The following retailers were among the top 50 of
Fortune's world's most admired companies: Costco Wholesale (No. 12); Walmart (No. 25); Target (No. 32); CVS Health (No. 35); and Publix (No. 45). Among
Fortune's top 100 admired companies were AmerisourceBergen, Cardinal Health, McKesson and Walgreens Boots Alliance.
