    Extra Gum delivers early dose of summer with pink lemonade flavor

    Summer may still be a few months away, but Extra Gum is looking to bring sunshine-filled flavors to its latest limited-edition drop.

    The Newark, N.J.-based company’s new pink lemonade variety contains fruity, tart and sweet flavors, as well as long-lasting flavor, the company said.

    “We hope Extra pink lemonade flavor will inspire moments of everyday happiness and become the perfect companion for ushering in the highly-anticipated spring sunshine,” said Gabrielle Wesley, chief marketing officer at Mars Wrigley North America. “Pink lemonade is a beloved flavor that is sure to be an EXTRA fan favorite, and perfect to be shared while connecting with friends and family—no matter the weather outside.”

    Extra pink lemonade is currently available for purchase at select retailers and will expand its availability nationwide in the coming months.

    Hostess sweetens breakfast with Donettes, Baby Bundts

    Hostess Donettes Old Fashioned Mini Donuts and Chocolate Drizzle Baby Bundts

    Hostess Brands is adding a hint of sweetness to breakfast with two new snacks—Donettes Old Fashioned Mini Donuts and Chocolate Drizzle Baby Bundts.

    Donettes Old Fashioned Mini Donuts feature a moist texture and sweet glaze in a poppable format. The Chocolate Drizzle Baby Bundts consist of a rich chocolate cake topped with a drizzle, the company said.

    “We’re excited to introduce these two new snacks to our lineup of delicious indulgences,” said Chris Balach, general manager of Hostess Brands. “The new Donettes Old Fashioned bring the flavor of a classic donut shop offering right to your home from the grocery store and fan-favorite chocolate is a perfect match for our popular Baby Bundts line. These delicious new treats are sure to bring a little bit of joy to the start of the day.”

    Both of Hostess’ new launches will be available for purchase later this month at grocery retailers and convenience stores nationwide.

    Featuring a pharmaceutical-like encapsulation that provides 2.5x better efficacy, the product looks to visibly lift neck or jowl sagging, as well as smooth deep-set wrinkles and crepey skin. In addition, it also works to increase skin elasticity while also hydrating skin overnight, the company said.

    Made with Murad’s technology that enhances stability and targets delivery deep within the skin’s surface, it also contains kangaroo paw flower extract to aid in amplifying visible sculpting benefits.

    Retailing for $105, Murad’s Retinal ReSculpt Overnight Treatment is available for purchase online.

    Hershey’s, Reese’s go plant-based

    Hershey is welcoming plant-based sweets to its portfolio with the launch of not one but two new products in its Hershey’s and Reese’s lines.

    Made with dairy alternatives, Hershey’s Plant Based Extra Creamy with Almonds and Sea Salt, and Reese’s Plant Based Peanut Butter Cups are portion-controlled sweets that do not contain added sugar or sugar, and are high in protein, the company said.

    “We are excited to introduce these delicious, plant-based options,” says Teal Liu, brand manager of Better For You, The Hershey Company. “Our purpose is to create more moments of goodness for consumers. Those moments are now more accessible for chocolate lovers looking for plant-based alternatives.”

    Reese’s Plant Based Peanut Butter Cups will be available for purchase beginning in March and Hershey’s Plant Based Extra Creamy with Almonds and Sea Salt bars will hit shelves in April.

    Nestlé Toll House’s Easter Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

    Nestlé Toll House is bringing springtime flavors to the baking aisle with the return of its Easter Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.

    The seasonal product, which contains pastel egg sprinkles, is a spring-inspired spin on the brand’s famous chocolate chip cookie recipe, the company said.

    Available for purchase for a limited time, the cookie dough comes in a 16-oz. size that retails for $3.49.

    Premier Protein unveils plant-based product line

    Premier Protein has launched its new Plant Protein Powder line.

    The new product line aims to bring its iconic taste, affordable price points and easy-to-understand nutrition credentials to the vegan protein space, the company said. Additionally, the protein powder contains 25 g of protein from peas and rice protein per serving.

    “Premier Protein has dedicated itself to making convenient, delicious products that help people stay on track with their health goals,” said Amy Larek, director of marketing at Premier Protein. “With our new Plant Protein Powder, we are excited to deliver on these same benefits, but to people who are seeking a plant-based protein offering.”

    The new product is available in chocolate and vanilla flavors for purchase at major retailers nationwide.
