The National Community Pharmacists Association has named the marquee speaker for the upcoming Multiple Locations Conference. The organization announced Wednesday that pharmacist John O’Brien, former U.S. Department of Health and Human Services senior advisor for drug pricing reform and one of the key architects of President Trump’s American Patients First blueprint, will speak at the conference, which takes place in Fort Myers, Fla. from Feb. 19-22.

The conference will bring pharmacy store owners across the nation together to network, exchange ideas, get continuing education credits, share experiences, and meet potential partners whose products and services can make them more successful, NCPA said.

“I’d compare having more than one pharmacy location to having more than one child. The challenges and possibilities don’t merely double or triple or quadruple every time you get a new one. The challenges and possibilities multiply exponentially,” said NCPA CEO Doug Hoey. “The Multiple Locations Conference is a great opportunity for owners in the same circumstance to learn best practices, keep up with new trends, and get business insights they can’t get anywhere else.”

New business education programs will include:

  • Fresh Food in the Pharmacy: Your Store’s Next Front-end Superstar
  • Medical at Home: A New Model for Aging in Place
  • Legal Considerations for Physician Collaboration
