The Giant Company is looking to make flu shots readily available to its shoppers.
The Carlisle, Pa.-based retailer announced that flu vaccinations are now available at all 132 Giant and Martin’s Food Markets.
To get their influenza vaccine, consumers simply need to visit the in-store pharmacy or hit the drive-up flu vaccination area of select store parking lots beginning in September.
“The Giant Company has been focused on adapting to the way we are living now and by offering drive-up vaccinations our pharmacists can better serve our customers,” Leigh Shirley, director of pharmacy operations of The Giant Company said. “Whether visiting a pharmacist in-store or via our new drive-up vaccinations, now more than ever it’s important to get your flu shot this season.”
From Sept. 13 to Oct. 17, select Giant and Martin’s pharmacies will begin offering drive-up flu vaccinations.
To receive the shot in this manner, patients simply need to pull into a spot in the designated area of the store parking lot. Then they will receive the vaccination without having to leave their vehicle, the company said.
No appointment will be necessary for either drive-up or in-store vaccinations.
