Health-Ade Booch Pop takes soda to the next level

7/1/2020

Health-Ade is expanding its offerings with a brand new beverage line.

Co-founders of the Torrance, Calif.-based brand, Daina Trout, Justin Trout and Vanessa Dew, are looking to change what the notion of soda is with their latest innovation, the company said.

Health-Ade Booch Pop is a type of soda that has been lightly carbonated, contains prebiotics and minerals and contains healthy acids from fermentation.

“Health-Ade Booch Pop is the evolution of soda. When we first launched this company, our dream was to make our original kombucha drinks and healthier, bubbly beverages a staple in every home in America. Health-Ade Booch Pop is another step forward to achieving that goal,” Daina Trout said. “I want people to discover that kombucha is versatile as a beverage ingredient and that soda doesn't have to be made with the same stuff every time.”

Each variety of the beverage is full-flavored, contains a base ingredient of kombucha, features natural ingredients, cold-pressed juice, does not contain artificial sweeteners or stevia and does not have any sodium, the company said.

“Health-Ade Booch Pop has the potential to open up an entirely new category of soda, because after months of staying at home, we're revisiting everything we eat and drink, and looking for little moments of joy and celebration. Drinking Health-Ade Booch Pop is one of those moments,” Daina Trout said.

Available in three flavors — lemon+lime, ginger fizz and pom-berry — Health-Ade Booch Pop is sold in 12-fl-oz. recyclable aluminum cans that retail for $2.49 and can be found on Amazon.com and such Los Angeles locations as Gelson’s Markets. The line will expand to additional retailers throughout the summer.
