Hikma debuts generic Bentyl

Hikma is introducing dicyclomine hydrochloride oral solution, in a dosage strength of 10 mg/5 ml. 

The product is the generic of Aptalis Pharma Canada’s Bentyl oral syrup. Dicyclomine hydrochloride oral solution is indicated for the treatment of patients with functional bowel/irritable bowel syndrome.

Dicyclomine hydrochloride oral solution 10 mg/5 ml had a market value of approximately $3 million in the 12 months ending March 2020, according to IQVIA.
